Winter Tracking Season Ends

April of each year signals the end of winter tracking survey work for the State of Wisconsin. Good snow tracking conditions can be found in our area well into April, but in general, data are last collected in the final week of March each year. Our survey work involves the search for and documentation of the winter location and movements of wolf, coyote, fox (both red and gray), bobcat, lynx, cougar, bear, badger, fisher, racoon, otter skunk and free-roaming dogs and cats.
